Winter is the perfect time to snuggle up and expand our English vocabulary. Let’s see some new vocabulary you can write down on your notebooks.
Phrasal Verbs for Indoor Activities:
- Curl up with a good book: When the weather’s cold, the best thing is to curl up in a cozy spot with a good book.
- Catch up on [something]: Use this when you’re spending time getting up-to-date with TV shows, reading, or any hobby.
Idioms for Cozy Indoor Times:
- Cabin fever: Feeling restless or irritable from being inside for too long.
- Stir-crazy: Similar to cabin fever. It describes the feeling of becoming restless or anxious from being confined in a place for too long, like being stuck indoors for several days. It’s like you’re itching to get out and do something different!
I’d like you to write something for our next class letting me know what you do when it’s raining or snowing outside and you need to stay indoors. Please use this vocabulary!
See you in class 🙂
