Too and Enough – Learn the basics with us!
🔹 Too means there’s more of something than we need. Like when we say, This bag is too heavy. It means the bag is heavier than what we can carry.
🔹 Enough means just the right amount. If we say, We have enough apples, it means we have the right amount of apples, not too many and not too few.
How to Use Them:
TOO + ADJECTIVE or TOO + ADVERB:
- The food was too hot for me to eat.
- Lilith walked too slowly, and she got lost.
ADJECTIVE + ENOUGH:
- The book wasn’t interesting enough for me to read. I love fantasy, not drama.
ENOUGH + NOUN:
- I don’t have enough books. I always need to buy more.
Let’s do some homework, guys! I’d like you to do it for our next class!
- Is there _____ room for everyone?
- This car isn’t cheap _____ for us to buy.
- The bag is _____ heavy for you to carry by yourself.
- I am not rich _____! I don’t have _____ money!
There you go!
